Audi A6 Avant

Broadcast dates : 18th December 2005
24th December 2005

Audi was first on the block with the so-called life-style vehicle concept.

The Avant has always been marketed as a style solution to practical problems, like young children rearing their heads and bicycles, skis and diving bottles demanding space, if not attention.

The A6 Avant is chock-a-block with conveniences with adjustable everything in terms of seat, steering wheel, on-board infotainment and dynamic-comfort controls.

But does it cut it in practicality, compared to a conventional MPV?

Horses for courses, with a cozy-cutsey lifestyle.

Thatís the Avant, a snug, smug, up-your-nose gesture to the establishment, a red-flag in the face of the mundane MPV body corporate.

The Avant says: Style still rules. LookAtMeee!
With the Avant, you trade the "world vision" of an elevated MPV for big-time driving dynamics. The Audi is all about sinuous, sensuous road feedback.

Audi is producing some of the classiest cars on the planet right now, and this A6 Avant is no exception. Itís an absolutely effortless machine in terms of its creature comforts, its performance, and the fit and finish of the cabin.

It inspires passion, unlike a minivan or MPV, and it speaks of an adventurous lifestyle.

However, it could do with more steering feel, and in the looks department Clint feels that, glamorous as it is, the previous generation A6 made more of a statement.
